Blind Tiger

Blind Tiger in the West Village

This cozy West Village shrine to beer lives up to its reputation. Consistenly rated one of the best beer bars in the country, it is not easy to find yourself a table at the Bling Tiger Ale House, but when you do it is worth the wait. Try a Murray’s cheese plate with your Green Flash Le Freak.

The taps here are always rotating, but our favorites are the Victory Golden Monkey (when available), the Dogfish Head 60 and 90 min IPAs and the Captain Lawrence.

They also have great food. We tried the chili on a recent visit and both agreed it was the best we’ve had in the city.

Here’s what they currently have in cask and on-tap:

The Tiger is awesome. Only been there a couple times (I’m out on LI) but it’s probably the best beer bar I’ve ever been to.

Love your blog, Lenn. I check it out frequently. Jill and I love the North Fork (hoping to get a place out there one day). Sorry our blog is in its nascency, but we’ll be beefing it up soon. We’re actually taking our parents to the NF Table & Inn for the weekend after Thanksgiving. Heading to the Finger Lakes next weekend to check out the autumn leaves and try some wines. Definitely going to be hitting up Red Newt, Dr. Frank Constantin and Fox Run. I’ve learned a ton about LI and Finger Lakes from your posts. Keep up the great work! We’re heading over to the Wine Spectator CA Wine Experience Tasting tonight. I’ll let you know how it goes. Hope to get to meet you over a glass of wine at some point.
