			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p id="top" />UPDATE FROM BRINDLE ROOM: Mix up on Twitter and apparently the Donkey Punch Pizza and PBR&#8217;s aren&#8217;t free tonight &#8212; BUT STILL A DAMN GOOD DEAL &#8212; $15 for unlimited pizza and PBR.  Donkey Punch Pizza is a pizza concept using a cast iron skillet. <a href="http://brindleroom.com/">The Brindle Room</a> (277 East 10th Street b/t 1st Ave and 2nd Ave) is one of our favorite  spots in the East Village. Chef Jermey Spector is doing some bad-ass, out-of-the-box things there.  First, he blew minds with his parmesan pork chop. Then, he took donuts to a new level using dough made from mashed potatoes. Now, people are going crazy for his duck poutine and his burger, which is made from prime aged beef trimmings and deckle that come from a steakhouse in Jersey. I tried it a few weeks back and dubbed it &#8221;the poor man&#8217;s black label.&#8221;  I can&#8217;t exactly tell you what his <strong>Donkey Punch Pizza</strong> is, but what I can tell you is<strong> Chef Spector is</strong> <strong>unveiling his new pizza creation tonight at 10pm for <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">FREE</span> $15 and with unlimited PBR&#8217;s</strong>. If only I weren&#8217;t on the Blueprint Cleanse!</p>

Forty Four is headed up by the so-called “Cocktail Collective”, a group of some of the best bartenders around, who have really stepped up the game at this hotel cocktail lounge and restaurant. The newly relaunched Forty Four is offering 44% off wines  such as Niebaum-Coppola “Rubicon” (Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford, California 1997), Tenuta dell’Ornellaia (Tuscany, Italy 1997) and Jaboulet, Hermitage la Chapelle (Rhone, France 1990). Pair these gems with menu items like Skirt Steak with smoked ham and cheese croquettes, chimichurri sauce and Branzino with olive tapenade, sautéed baby kale and lemon oil. Forty Four = 44%, can you imagine if they were located in the 80&#8242;s!</p>

The <strong>$120 four-course white truffle dinner</strong> (tax &amp; gratuity extra) is available every night and features the fragrant tuber shaved over each course, including dessert &#8211; approximately 40 grams of truffles in total (they claim that at Eataly’s prices, the truffles by themselves would be $200). Sandro&#8217;s is also offering white truffle shavings a la carte : any appetizer with truffles for $29, any pasta with truffles for $75, any entrée can be topped with truffles for a supplement of $20 and any dessert with truffles is $29. Speaking of <strong><a href="http://www.facebook.com/EatalyNYC" target="_blank">Eataly</a></strong> (200 5th Ave),  the mega-food hall has officially declared this <strong>Sunday, November 21st as &#8220;Truffle Day&#8221;</strong> and is <strong>offering Alba white truffles at cost </strong>both for <a href="http://www.walletpop.com/blog/category/shopping/">retail</a> purchase and in dishes served at the <a href="http://www.luxist.com/category/dining/">restaurants</a> throughout Eataly.  Eataly will be charging approximately $5/gram for white truffles sold at retail in the marketplace and you can order white truffles shaved onto dishes at each of the restaurants for a $28 supplement. <strong><a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sapori-DIschia-Restaurant/166662166521">Sapori d’Ischia</a></strong> (55-15 37th Ave-Queens) has begun offering its wallet-friendly annual<strong> $60 3-course White Truffle Tasting Menu</strong> on Tuesdays.   We checked it out last year, and while it&#8217;s certainly good truffle value, the shavings are not too generous.
