2nd Annual Valerie Fund Mardi Gras Gala

Published by Andy at 4:39 pm under Event Listings

We had a blast at last year’s inaugural Mardi Gras Gala for the The Valerie Fund, an organization that supports the health care of children with cancer and blood disorders. And we expect things to be no different at this year’s gala hosted by The Young Associates of the Valerie Fund on March 3rd at the Broad Steet Ballroom (41 Broad St; 9:30pm – 1:30am). One of our closest friends is involved on the Young Associates Committee and tells us that there will again be a 4-hour open bar, light food provided by Dell’ Anima and L’Artusi, a celebrity DJ, and even a Mardi Gras Jambalaya Brass Band.   Most importantly of all, however, the Mardis Gras Gala is a great opportunity to contribute to a great cause while having a great time.  If you’re interested in attending you can purchase tickets to the Gala here for $80 (we hear tickets will increase soon to $100 and that the event sold out 2 weeks in advance last year). We also remember it being a great crowd last year, with everyone having a great time and mingling and dancing about. You’re encouraged to dress in cocktail attire to complement the Mardi Gras masks, beads and boas that are provided, but plenty of guests dressed on the causal side last year and didn’t seem to have trouble fitting right in.
