Thai One On at Reserve

Published by Andy at 12:04 pm under New Spots

We’ve been hearing some rumblings about a new, cozy Thai-inspired tapas and wine bar in Murray Hill called Reserve (407 Third Ave b/t 28th and 29th).  It’s situated right next door to tri-level mega bar Tonic, which together makes them the bar version of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito from the movie Twins. With places like Marcony Ristorante, Vino 313, Cask Bar & Kitchen and now Reserve Wine Bar opening in the ‘hood, it seems this perenially frat-tastic area may be coming of age a bit. To complement its large and affordable wine list, Reserve offers charcuterie and cheese platters in addition to its diverse Thai and tapas menus. If wine’s not your thing, we hear they also have a good beer list featuring craft beers like Troegs and authentic Thai beers. And right now they’re offering some pretty good deals, like the special 3-course tapas prix fixe dinner menu that comes with a glass of wine for only $19 (available every day). Or the extended happy hour Wednesday-Friday from 4-8 p.m. when you get 50% off cocktails and wines by the glass.  Looking for a great deal during the (extended) weekend? Saturday through Tuesday (all day), Reserve will take 30% off any bottle of wine and for $5, you can get a beer or sangria by the glass.
