The 12 Days of Restaurant Week
Ok folks, NYC Restaurant Week is officially upon us. That means for 12 of the next 14 days (Mon-Fri & Sunday of the next 2 weeks) you can get 3-course $24.07 lunches and $35 dinners at 200+ restaurants around town. Obviously not all Restaurant Week menus are created equal and we’re here to help you get the most out of your Restaurant Week experiences. In addition to daily Restaurant Week suggestions, we’re also going to recommend some out-of-the-box, non-Restaurant Week deals for those of you who either missed the boat on the highly coveted Restaurant Week reservations or are looking for a little more bang for your buck. So each day we’re going to recommend two Restaurant Week dinner spots that have OpenTable availability as of that morning (party of 2 b/t 7-8:30pm), as well as two non-Restaurant Week dinner spots with unbeatable deals. Without further ado, here are your recommendations for today.
RESTAURANT WEEK
If you’re wine drinkers like us, a Restaurant Week dinner tab can add up pretty quickly once you order a bottle of wine or a couple of glasses. So, today’s Restaurant Week theme is maximizing your bang for your buck with BYO. Several Restaurant Week participants offer no-corkage nights on certain nights of the week. Here are two such restaurants that offer no-corkage BYO on Monday nights, and it just so happens that they have reservation availability for tonight. One in the East Village and one in the West Village.
Apiary (60 3rd Ave) — People have been syaing good things about the food coming out of Chef Scott Bryan’s (Le Bernardin, Bouley, Gotham Bar & Grill) kitchen. No corkage fee on Monday nights. Reserve here. THANK YOU TO COMMENTER JOHN FOR POINTING OUT THAT APIARY’S NO CORKAGE FEE MONDAY’S IS NOT APPLICABLE WITH RESTAURANT WEEK. SO HERE’S ANOTHER ONE THAT IS.
Tribeca Grill (375 Greenwich St.) — Monday nights are no corkage fee (as long as the bottle you bring is not on their wine list — so check here first). A call to the restaurant confirms that tonight is free BYO and it can be combined with Restaurant Week. Reserve here.
Braeburn Restaurant (117 Perry St.) – This New American in the W Village features locally-sourced comfort food in a nice, lively setting. No corkage fee on Monday nights. Reserve here.
NON-RESTAURANT WEEK
On the non-Restaurant Week front, Monday night is one of the best nights in the city to take advantage of great restaurant deals. Here are two of the best.
Paradou (8 Little West 12th St.) — This French restaurant in the Meatpacking is offering a special Bastille Day menu all week long. Better yet, they’re continuing to give all tables that have a reservation a free bottle of wine on Monday nights. Reserve here or call 212-463-8345.
Esperanto (145 Ave C) — Monday through Thursday nights, this Brazilian and South American bistro in the way East Village offers a $19.95 three-course prix fixe until 7:30pm. May want to double-check, but I think they offer the $19.95 special all night on Mondays. Also on Mondays, all bottles of wine are half price from 5:30pm till close.

From the Apiary menu:
Monday is Apiary’s “No Corkage” Night. (This Offer Is Not Available with Summer 2010 Restaurant Week Menu)
Thanks John — we didn’t see that earlier. Going to update now.
