David Burke Launches Sunday Suppers at Townhouse & Fishtail
It seems like everyone’s rockin’ the Sunday Supper these days. Our favorites are the Sunday Butcher’s Table in the Bar Room of Charlie Palmer’s Aureole ($49/person; unlimited wine pours; menu), the Sunday Nonya Dinner at Double Crown ($35/person; 8-10 courses; menu), the ever-changing $20 3-course Sunday Supper at Northern Spy Food Co. and Surfer Sundays at Ditch Plains featuring a 1 1/2 lb lobster, corn, andouille sausage, and a potato ($30/person; menu). David Burke has now joined the fray with Chicken Little Sundays at David Burke Townhouse (133 E. 61st) and Lobster Louie Sundays at Fishtail (135 E. 62nd). The $35 three-course “Chicken Little” dinner menu includes options of traditional chicken pot pie, Southern fried chicken and a whole roasted Blue Foot chicken for two ($10 supplement) with an appetizer and dessert. But that’s not all — the dinner also covers your Monday lunch. Each table takes home a deli-style container of “Monday’s Chicken Lunch” which contains “angry” chicken salad and bread (one container for every two people). The roasted chicken salad is touched with curry, cayenne and paprika spices. Over at Fishtail, the Sunday Lobster Louie is a $35, three-course menu featuring some of D Burke’s specialties like angry lobster, lobster carbonara, lobster dumplings and more.
