Zenkichi’s Warm-Up Winter Tasting Menu
Through this Thursday, Zenkichi in Williamsburg (77 N. 6th St; 718-388-8985) is offering a Warm-Up Winter Tasting Menu: 4 courses plus a carafe of warm sake for $35 per person. If you were thinking about a pre-Valentine’s Day Restaurant Week dinner, this deal will give you an extra course + a carafe of premium warm sake for the same price — not to mention the privacy you get in a wooden booth with a curtain partition that secludes you from the rest of the restaurant. Over Valentine’s Day weekend (Feb 12-14), they’ll also be offering a special Valentine’s Omakase featuring aphrodisiacal items such as Kumamoto Oysters, Winter Yellowtail, Kobe Beef, Sweet Shrimp and Blue Fin Toro ($75; see menu below). A slightly modified Valentine’s Omakase menu will be offered for $65 on February 12th and 13th. Also, Zenkichi’s signature 8-course Late Winter Omakase tasting menu is always offered at $48.
