Wined & Dined Launches Free “Get a Recommendation” Service
We love providing our friends, family and co-workers with NYC restaurant and bar recommendations. We get all sorts of requests, whether it’s a friend looking for a date night wine bar, out-of-towners looking for a good pre-theater spot, friends looking for a good Sunday-Funday brunch spot, or a fellow wino looking for a great BYO deal. We enjoy putting our knowledge of the NYC food and drink scene to good use. So, we thought why not lend a little of our NYC expertise to everyone. Today we launched our free “Get a Recommendation” service. All you have to do is fill out a simple form here with as much or as little info about what you are looking for (neighborhood, type of food, occasion, price, time, breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner, non-touristy, etc). and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can by email with our best ideas and recommendations. Even if you already have a pretty good idea for a place, why not test us out and see how you compare to what we come up with. We’ve even created a Twitter account @NYCRecos where you can follow all of the Recommendation Requests (anonymous) we receive and our Recommendations in response. We’ve already had 10+ requests for recommendations come across the wire today alone and we look forward to many more. We also hear there’s another recommendation request service that recently launched called Eatery Expert. I say try us both out and see whose recommendations you prefer.

I’ve used Eatery Expert and they were great. Needed a place for my birthday, they gave me three places that all sounded perfect. I visited each place and was very impressed. Haven’t used this service yet, but will provide feedback on it soon.
