The 15 Best Winter Restaurant Week Steakhouse Deals
Given that a filet or NY strip in the city typically costs on average between $35-$50 on its own, steakhouses can provide you with some great Restaurant Week bang for your buck. Problem is many participating Restaurant Week steakhouses only offer one steak on the RW menu and it’s more often than not a teeny tiny petite filet or an inexpensive cut like a flank steak. Here we’ve broken down the 15 best steakhouse restaurant week menus in order of the best deals (based on steak portion size and value, restaurant reputation, restaurant atmosphere and overall RW menu value) to help steer you in the right direction (sorry, couldn’t help myself)…
Top 15 Steakhouse Dinner Restaurant Week Deals

Smith & Wollensky (3rd Ave @ 49th St; 212-753-1530) — Offering lots of variety: a 10oz filet mignon, or surf n’ turf (the 10oz filet + 5oz lobster tail for only $10 supplement), or a 14oz dry-aged sirloin ($10 supplement). Check out the full RW menu here.
Parlor Steakhouse (1600 3rd Ave; 212-423-5888) — Offering a marinated hangar steak and a Bone-In 16oz Prime Strip Loin for a $9 supplement (lists for $35 on the regular menu). Both come with choice of sauteed spinach, whipped potatoes or fries. Considering sides are $7 on the menu and the appertizers are b/t $11-$15, this is a pretty great deal! Check out the menu here.
Quality Meats (W/ 58th b/t 5th and 6th; 212-371-7777; lunch only) — Pretty darn good RW lunch deal here. They’re offering hangar steak w/ brandied cherry sauce (costs $28 on everyday dinner menu) or a brandt beef skirt steak frites ($10 supplement). Check out the full RW menu here.

Maloney & Porcelli (E. 50th St b/t Park & Madison; 212-750-2233) — Offering a 10oz filet mignon (dinner only), which is $40 on the everyday menu, making this one a damn good deal. Check out the full RW menu here.
T Bar Steak & Lounge (1278 3rd Ave; 212-772-0404) — Offering their 8oz filet mignon with mashed potatoes and bearnaise sauce. It goes for $29 on its own on the everyday dinner menu. They offer the same 8oz portion for lunch, making the $24.07 lunch an even better deal! Here’s the menu
Angelo and Maxie’s Steakhouse (Park Ave South at 19th Street; 212-220-9200) — Offering a generous 13oz Filet Mignon. Here’s the menu.
Ben Benson’s Steakhouse (123 W. 52nd St; 212-581-8888) — Ok, so you could go with the RW menu and get a sliced filet mignon or an English cut prime rib, but why do that when you can take advantage of Benson’s amazing Steak Dinner for 2 special that they offer 7 nights a week. You get choice of soup, Caesar salad, choice of Chateaubriand or Lobster Tails + Filet Mignon and 2 sides (creamed spinach and hash brown potatoes) — all for $90!

AJ Maxwell’s Steakhouse (57 W. 48th St; 212-262-6200) — Offering an 8oz sliced filet bordelaise with new potatoes on the dinner menu.
Michael Jordan’s The Steakhouse (G. Central Terminal; 212-655-2300) — Offering a petite 6oz filet mignon w/ whipped sweet potatoes and mustard greens. Check out the full RW menu here.
Shula’s Steak House (Westin Times Sq; 212-201-2776) — Offering a teeny 5oz filet mignon w/ bernaise and served w/ potatoes and asparagus. Haagen-Dazs ice cream is one of the two dessert options. Not too creative here. Check out the full RW menu here.

Agreed! Can’t go wrong with steak for RW if you want the best bang for your buck. If you even want to get the most out of the experience, pick the restaurants that offer sides on the plate (i.e. Primehouse gives fries, whereas at Smith & Wollensky, you are just getting a hunk of meat on the plate).
