New Deals for the New Year: Break Your Resolutions Without Breaking the Bank!
This is the time of year when a lot of us resolve to eat healthier, drink less and save money. For many, that means eating out and going to bars less frequently. Restaurants and bars want you to break those resolutions asap and get back into your hedonistic eating, drinking and spending routines of yesteryear. To help cajole you, they are offering some pretty insane deals right now. We’ve done what we do best and compiled a list of all the restaurant and bar deals around town that will have you off your couch and breaking your resolutions in no time. We know Winter Restaurant Week is comin’ up, but honestly these deals are even better! New Brunch Deals:
Kittichai – $20 brunch prix fixe featuring standard brunch items that includes unlimited Kittichai brunch cocktails. Weekends from 11am-2:45pm. Includes passion fruit bellinis, bloody mary’s and blood orange mimosas. Cafecita Bogota – Unlimited brunch drinks for $12.50 + you get your choice of brunch entree. Lasts til 6pm! They’re calling it Brooklyn’s longest-running unlimited brunch. New Wine/BYO Deals:
Dylan Prime — Offering a special penny corkage period from January 1st to January 31st. Make reservations for this time and tell the reservationist you are taking advantage of the “penny corkage special”. One bottle per person so party of 4 can bring up to 4 bottles! (62 Laight St; 212-334-4783)
Gotham Bar & Grill — Launching a new series of regional wine dinners called Mondays Uncorked on January 18th. On Mondays throughout 2010, Gotham will highlight different famous wine producing regions across the globe, focusing on a particular country each month. Chef Alfred Portale and Chef de Cuisine Jason Hall will create a $75 four-course prix fixe menu incorporating each region’s traditional flavors, ingredients and dishes. On these weekly BYO evenings, guests are encouraged to bring in their own wines from each featured region. The idea being that these wines will naturally pair best with the cuisine. Mondays Uncorked waive Gotham’s standard $55 corkage fee. The first several Mondays Uncorked will celebrate the wines and cuisine of Italy. (12 E. 12th St; 212-620-4020)
