Where the “Wild” Things Are: Bars & Restaurants With Specials for the NFL Wild Card Games
It’s one of our favorite times of the year. The run-up to the Super Bowl. Restaurants and bars are dangling the bait with some great drink deals and specials. Here’s a list of spots where you can get “wild” this weekend and catch all the action:
Van Diemens Cafe & Bar (383 3rd Ave @ 27th St): Throughout the NFL Playoffs, it’s $25 for all you can drink domestic beers with an order of wings during all games. Also, $12 pitchers & $4 mixed drinks & shots.
Cabrito (50 Carmine St) and Fatty Crab UWS (2170 Broadway b/t 76 & 77): Hit up either restaurant Saturday for the Jets game at 4:30pm where, in addition to some pretty sweet food & drink deals, free house shots will be passed out for every Jets score at the bar. Wonder if that means you get one free shot for a touchdown and another for the extra point. And for the six Cardinals fans in the city, one of them being David Schuttenberg, Cabrito’s chef and former Arizona resident, come show your Arizona pride at Cabrito for Sunday’s game against Green Bay at 4:30pm where free shots will be passed out every time the Cards put up numbers on the scoreboard (at the bar only).
Gus & Gabriel (222 W. 79th): G&G Football Feast gets you Nachos + Any Burger + Pint of Any Draft Beer for $15!
East Village Tavern (158 Ave C @ 10th): $12 PBR and Bud Light buckets, $4 Yuengling Drafts, 25¢ Wings, and $2 Sliders during all the games.
Overlook (225 E. 44th): Jet’s Tailgate Party! From 2pm to kickoff, $10 gets you all-you-can-drink Bud Light.
Southern Hospitality (1460 2nd Ave b/t 76 & 77): Pre-game with SOHO’s new unlimited mimosas and bloody mary’s brunch deal ($12 with purchase of an entree from 11:30am-3:30pm). During the Jet’s game they’ll be serving up free “Mean Green” shots all game long.
Third & Long (523 3rd Ave): Kick the Keg Wild Card Saturday. $2 mugs all beers on tap b/t 2-7pm.
Mudville 9 (126 Chambers): All you can eat wings, fries, unlimited pitchers of beer for 2 hours for $23/person or $28/person for premium beer (6 person min).
Metro 53 (307 E. 53rd): $30 for all you can drink domestic drafts + all you can eat wings during the games!
The East End (1164 1st Ave b/t 86 & 87): $25 unlimited Bud Light drafts + 1/2 price wings.
