Offal-ly Interesting: Paradou Introduces “Organ Meat Wednesday”
I started to write this myself, but it wouldn’t have done it justice. So here’s the email we received this morning from Paradou (8 Little W. 12th St; 212-463-8345):
Bonjour Mes Amis,
We love organ meats. Love, love, love them. We know we’re in the minority. We know many people run for the hills when kidneys, sweetbreads, brains and other lovely bits like that get mentioned. But we also know while many are running for the hills, others are pulling up their chairs and smacking their lips. We’re in the latter group. We decided to bring our, and many of yours, secret love out into the open. Every Second Wednesday of Every Month we’ll be celebrating Organ Meat Wednesday. So what can you look forward to? Start fantasizing about Boudin Noir, Kidneys, Sweetbreads, Brains, Tripe, Andouillettes, Pied de Cochon, and much, much more. The first Organ Meat Wednesday will be on November 11.
Interesting concept, but I wouldn’t call it a no-brainer.

takes some pretty big rocky mt oysters to pull that off in this environment which im sure are on the menu. whats next? blood cocktails just in time for halloween to go after the twighlight crowd?
