Wine of the Week: Esporão Red Reserva 2006
Andy and I tend to taste a lot of fantastic wines (and some not so fabulous wines) each week. We love to pop open a new, interesting bottle of wine as we sit down to a home cooked dinner, and I especially love to have a glass while I’m hard at work in the kitchen preparing that home cooked meal. So, we’ve decided to start bringing you our favorite wines of our week. First up is Esporão Red Reserve 2006. We’ve been trying a lot of Portuguese wines as we gear up for the European Wine Bloggers conference in Lisbon, Portugal at the end of next month. The Esporão Reserve was the huge hit of our week- hands down our favorite red. Don’t let some of the less familiar Portuguese varietals stop you from tracking down this gem and indulging in some huge fruit forward bliss. You won’t regret it. Cheers!
