War of the Wings: Round 1
As football season kicks off (and as we look forward to some serious hours in our favorite sports bars with beer in hand and wings on the table), we decided to hit the streets this weekend to declare our first War of the Wings victor. Now, New Yorkers are serious about their wings, almost as much so as they are about their pizza, burgers, meatballs, and, well, just about anything else. So, we knew we would have some strong opinions if we started asking around the question – who really has the best wings in the city? Everyone seems to have a hands down favorite, but which wings really fly above the rest? Please help us out by picking who will be our challengers in round 1 of Wined & Dined’s War of the Wings (and no, unfortunately we can’t fly to Buffalo for Duff’s or Anchor Bar every weekend to watch the game). dude i love me some prof thom’s wings…bomb digggity. town tavern pretty dope, too. can’t say i’ve had a buffalo lollipop — but it can’t be bad.
For anyone brave enough to venture up to the bronx, piper’s kilt at 231st has my favorite wings.
