“Wine Down” has been throwing some great wine tasting parties at Astra in Midtown (979 3rd Ave b/t 58th and 59th). The good times return on Wednesday, August 19th from 7-10pm. The “Wine Down” parties are hosted by Michael Green, the wine and spirits consultant for Gourmet Magazine, and Andrew Levine. We’re big fans of the “unlimited tastes” of wine and the passed hors d’oeuvres provided by Chef Charlie Palmer’s staff. Not to mention the space is pretty cool…and it’s only 4 blocks from our apt. With all the wine, the food stations and passed desserts, you needn’t worry about getting your fill at a Wine Down party. Problem is we’ve been slackin’ over here and the party is less than a week away.
